Sutton on the Forest - July 2026

Camping over a cooler weekend following a heatwave during the previous week it was a very relaxing meet with time to chat on the field with coffee mornings etc.

The meet was designated as the one to join in with the Clubs’ 125 Year Celebrations. The skills and imagination of members was proven with the varied display of ‘Scarecrows’ depicting Famous Characters. Saturday afternoon saw folk bring along games to share on the site and these included boules, horseshoes, hook-a-duck, the parachute etc and there was a high level of engagement as well as some keen competitiveness! We then had a celebratory drink and cake - onto the next 125 years !!!

The local hall was used for our Saturday evening ceilidh with live music, song spots and dancing under the guidance of 4 callers. Another chance for a piece of celebration cake! Altogether a great meet
