AGM & possible mass ‘take away’ meal before evening ceilidh.   Room available on site for daytime / evening activities.

MR110/273078      From A635 turn towards Canon Hall.  Site on left before hump back bridge.  Watch for RFG signs.  Return for The Ridings to this great location with plenty of local walking possible from the site including Cannon Hall.  Room available on site for small gatherings.  Evening Ceilidhs in local hall on Saturday and Sunday.


Tuesday 31st – Sunday 5th June       

Coxwold Village Hall  (5 nights)

100/536774.     Byland Road, Coxwold, York, YO61 4BB. 5 nights. From A19 travelling south turn left towards Coxwold/Shandyhall. From A19 travelling north turn right towards Coxwold/Ampleforth. Site on eastern side of village.

Socials/Ceilidhs with live music in Hall on  site.  Weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.  Hoping for great weather we could see decorated units around the site along the red, white & blue theme or perhaps bring out any pennon displays.  Our traditional 3 ceilidhs are planned for Thurs, Fri and Sat evenings. Initial plans are for a street party on Friday teatime (bring food to share or if you prefer just come and join in with your own picnic) and a pre-ceilidh barbeque on Saturday.  Hopefully we can  eat out in the fresh air unless the weather dictates the need to take cover indoors!  Please come prepared with any outdoor/indoor games to add to the fun of the meet.

  • Pitching in lines to create a ‘street party / activity’ area
  • Decorate units with bunting / pennons etcTuesday and Wednesday Evenings
  • Socialising in the hall –  games, crafts, singing and more !

  • First evening Ceilidh

Friday Afternoon / Evening

  • Start of the ‘PARTY’ with games on the field
  • Wear Red, White and Blue plus a crown! (Make a crown workshop is planned at the meet)
  • Units encouraged to set up a ‘game’ for everyone to enjoy g.  Using a straw to transfer ping pong balls from one bowl to another in a set time.    Use your imagination and please bring a game
  • Bring ideas for games from the era g. skipping …..
  • At 5.00pm – set up of communal buffet for the meal to start at 5.30pm (or bring your own tea and sit on the ‘street’)  As much Red, White and Blue coloured food will keep up the theme!
  • At 7.30pm the ‘Royal Knees-Up’ Ceilidh with party / favourite dances

Saturday Afternoon / Evening

  • 5.00pm – lighting of everyones’ BBQ’s for a get together around the BBQs
  • 7.30pm – Final night Ceilidh

PLUS    The hall to be used for workshops in dance, song, music and craft over the weekend.  Please bring ideas of activities to share.   What about a ‘Royal’ or ‘1950’s’ Quiz?

Site closes at 2pm Sunday

**   Field activities can be relocated into the hall if the weather dictates!!

Shirecroft Farm, 34 Station Road, Epworth. DN9 1JZ    

MR.112/778046   From M180 Junction 2, take A161 south.  At the traffic lights in Epworth turn right.  Site is 0.75 miles on the right.

The annual Epworth Music Day is planned to take place throughout the town on Saturday with 80 acts performing across 13 locations and all for Free! .  Ceilidh with the local community in Imperial Hall, Epworth on Sat eve.


Thursday 14th July – Tuesday 19th July   (5 nights)

East End Farm, Garton on the Wold, Driffield  YO26 3ET

MR 06/986593    Recommended approach from Driffield to avoid very tight turn.  Leave Driffield on A166 to Garton on the Wold.  After 2 miles pass rebrick houses on Right and turn Right along concrete drive.

Dependant on numbers and the weather, Tibthorpe Village Hall booked for Saturday evening ceilidh.


Thursday 25th August – Tuesday 30th August   (5 nights)

MR 100/SE707897    From Pickering take A170 west.  In 6 miles * turn north onto unclassified road.  Site on right in 2.5 miles, with access on lane to left of a cafe.  From Thirsk take A170 east (NB. Sutton Bank is prohibited to caravans).  0.75 miles east of Kirkbymoorside continue from * above.

There will be a raffle and fundraising activities on Sunday.  Ceilidhs on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings in Village Hall across the road. 


Thursday 8th September – Monday 12th September   (4 nights)

103/993474. From Kildwick roundabout on A629 travelling towards Skipton, in 1 mile turn Left signposted Cononley. In approx. 0.5m turn Right into Moorfoot Lane.  Site in approx. 0.25m over bridge.

105/421488    Leave the A1 at Junction 46 and take B1224 signposted York.  Continue East on York Road for 1 mile and turn right at roundabout to the racecourse.  Watch for RFG signs.

Room on site for activities over the weekend.  Ceilidh with live music on Saturday evening.

MR 111/627166.  From M62 Junction 34, take A19 south towards Doncaster.  At Traffic Lights in Askern turn left and follow signs to Sykehouse.  Site on Left at far end of the village. This is a BOOKED MEET.   Our end of season meet with the hall available throughout the weekend.  Plans for a catered meal or ‘mass takeaway’ to be announced soon
